Shah Faesal launches ‘Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement’ party

Former Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Shah Faesal on Sunday launched his own political party, the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement.“As mainstream party we can only facilitate peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue which ultimately has to come from New Delhi and Islamabad,” Faesal said.

He said that the youngsters should be allowed to express dissent and raise voice against human rights violations. He said that his party will fight for these rights.

Activist Shehla Rashid was among the people who joined the party on Sunday.

Faesal said that his party would seek adequate political representation for under-represented communities like Buddhists, Sikhs, Christians and Kashmiri Pandits.
